The Panda room caters for children aged 2 to
3.5 years.

Staff: One Room Leader, Three Early Years Educators.

Adult/Child Ratio: 1:6.

Room capacity: 20.

As your child grows to become more independent,  their own unique personalities are really starting to shine through. In the Panda room we aim to facilitate this process with a wide range of daily activities and routines.

Children learn best through play. With this in mind, all our daily and weekly planning is devised to facilitate play in many forms.  Through play, children can express themselves fully and independently and explore their developmental limits.  Through circle time, songs and rhymes the children lead the adults in conversations which encourage language development.

We like to establish a  connection with each child and their families and  learn about where their interests lie.  This is achieved through a variety of methods such as “child key workers” and our new project of using “green scrapbooks” to create a direct link between the Pandas and the home environment.

Each day is different and we aim to enhance the children’s developmental skills both indoors and outdoors.  A panda boy or girl can often be found playing on the outdoor train, waiting to go to the zoo or inside making dinner for all their friends in the home area!
